Circuit mode: one rhythm for all strength machines
Members scan in, train one set against the clock and move to the next station in sync with everyone else. Circuit mode turns retrofitted strength machines into a guided machine circuit — with no major rebuild on the gym floor. Gyms switch their existing Trackbar-equipped machines into one circuit that is synchronised across the floor.
Getting started: hold up the card, set the weight, go
Circuit mode is built for gyms that want to give their members a clearly guided way into strength training.
The member holds their card or wristband to the tablet and lands straight on the exercise with the weight and training mode they used last time.
Training runs against the clock instead of a fixed repetition count. From the selected training style — muscle building, power or negative, for example — Trackbar derives the tempo and with it a target number of repetitions for the round. During the set the tablet counts the repetitions live and shows the movement as a curve.
Static view, because the system asked for reduced motion.
Joining at the machine: between two rounds the tablet shows the machine name Leg Press and the shared round clock as a red ring counting down the 30-second switch, and invites you to log in with RFID. After the scan the exercise view appears with the duration, the repetitions and the weight from your last workout; the machine then waits for the next round to begin. All values are samples.
Getting started: card, weight, ready.
Every machine on the same clock
Synchronised training is the core of the mode: every tablet shows the same time. A round lasts 60 seconds by default and the switch between stations 30 seconds — both are defaults and can be set freely per gym.
Anyone who signs in during the switch phase starts with a 3-2-1 countdown exactly on the round change, at the same moment as every other station. Anyone joining later can still start immediately: the set then ends with the round and is reported as a shortened set.
After every round the tablet shows a compact result with repetitions, accuracy and weight, the countdown to the next round and a pointer to the next station.
This is how one round runs:
- Scan the card. Hold the card or wristband to the tablet — the machine’s exercise appears with the weight used last time.
- Set the weight. The last weight used is preset and can be changed right on the tablet.
- 3-2-1. Signal readiness during the switch phase and the countdown starts you exactly on the round change.
- 60-second round. The tablet counts repetitions live and shows the movement as a curve.
- Result. Repetitions, accuracy and weight, plus the countdown to the next round and the next station.
- 30-second switch. The walk to the next machine is the rest.

The set at the machine: a 3-2-1 countdown opens the round. Through the 60 seconds the tablet counts the repetitions up live, shows the time left in the round and guides the movement as a scrolling corridor. At the end the result shows repetitions, weight and duration; the machine then logs itself out and shows the switch to the next station again. All values are samples.
The round: countdown, repetitions, result.
For operators: retrofit instead of buying new
Your members already love the circuit you have? Do not take it away from them — invest instead in digital training guidance on the proven machines they already know and like.
You set the training and rest intervals yourselves — whether that is 60, 90 or 105 seconds of training is your call. The training curves are individually configurable too.
The mode also works without a connected partner system. Unknown cards can be registered directly at the machine; Trackbar captures first name, last name and date of birth only. Lost cards can be re-linked with a trainer’s approval. If you already run a member system, you use circuit mode with your existing access media.

Joining late: anyone logging in after the round has started — the round clock is running green and joining is still possible — begins without a wait. The set still ends together with the round and the result honestly reports it as a shortened set. Everyone then moves on to the next station at the same time. All values are samples.
In sync: join later, switch together.
Availability
Circuit mode is part of the current Trackbar software and is available to all Trackbar customers as of now. Existing installations can use it without additional hardware.

In a demo we walk through your equipment list and show which machines go into the circuit and how round length, switch length and training style are configured. If you would rather run the numbers yourself first, use the price calculator on the home page.
